I drove up the Beartooth Highway on June 18, 2014 knowing full well that it was closed shortly past the Rock Creek Vista Point lookout (about 20 miles from downtown Red Lodge, Montana). There had been a lot of snow in the high country and I wanted to have a look. This is a seven image stitched panorama taken shortly before the snow-filled clouds passed over me while I was walking out to the end of the sidewalk at the Vista Point to see about taking some photos from there.
I've been enamored of photography all my life and now that I'm retired, I have the time to travel to exotic places for my photography, study others work and improve my skills with guidance from other marvelous photographers. I especially enjoy creating art from images captured with either my Nikon camera, my Olympus OM-D or my iPhone.You will find that I have a wide variety of images ranging from "straight" photographic images to images post-processed with a variety of iOS apps and/or Lightroom/Photoshop with (or without) various plug-ins. In 2015, I embarked on a "photo-a-day" project, committing to post one photo EVERY day for the entire year. I think committing to this has improved the quality of my images at the same time it has driven...
